Business Development Lead
Elias M. Mageto is a financial management professional and serial entrepreneur.
He is a Co-founder of The Africa Index – A next-generation business, government, and political intelligence platform. He founded the African Scholar Foundation (Africanscholar.org) launching shortly. Prior to founding The Africa Index and the African Scholar Foundation, he founded another online content start-up - Diaspora Interactive Media Corporation(DIM Corp.) - An Online and Mobile content producer for African and African Diaspora audiences headquartered in the Washington, DC area.
Simultaneously, Mr. Mageto has worked with the US Government for 10 years as a budget analyst and protocol officer. Prior to joining the US Government, he served in multiple roles over a 3 year period at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation. While at the Foundation, Mr. Mageto played a significant role in successfully implementing key sections of the organization's five-year strategic plan.
He’s been a key driver to the development of several business initiatives around the world for government and private clients and will serve Tech Fundi in that capacity as our business development lead. His role will be to ensure the company is positioned to take on high-level international clients and secure key projects that our team has the technical expertise to execute.
Other positions held by Mr. Mageto include administrative positions at the World Bank Headquarters in Washington, and as a Contract Specialist with the MONY Group.
Elias earned a degree in Business Economics at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan and a Master's Degree from The University of Maryland College Park in Technology Entrepreneurship.
